HORIZONTAL TRANSFER APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Our university's 2023-2024 Academic Year Fall Semester Horizontal Transfer Applications within the quotas specified in the attachment; Applications for horizontal transfer to Associate and Undergraduate Diploma Programs https://prg.mehmetakif.edu.tr/YatayGecisBasvuruFormu will be made ONLINE at the address, and the application documents will be uploaded to the application form at the relevant extension during the application.

(There is no need to apply in person or by mail in addition to the online application.)

HORIZONTAL TRANSFER APPLICATIONS:

•  With General Weighted Grade Point Average; Inter-Institutional (Domestic) To the Same Program,
•  With General Weighted Grade Point Average, T.C. national students from Foreign Higher Education institutions; Inter-Institutional (Abroad) To the Same Program,
•  With General Weighted Grade Point Average; Intra-Institutional To the Same Program,

·        With Central Placement Score (Additional Article 1); To the Same or Different Program is made.

APPLICATION DATES:

•  Horizontal transfer applications with General Weighted Grade Point Average (GPA) for “Domestic”, “Abroad” and “Intra-Institutional” will be made between July 17 – August 11, 2023 dates.
•  Horizontal transfer applications with Central Placement Score (ADDITIONAL ARTICLE-1) to the same or different program will be made between August 01 – August 11, 2023 dates.

Our university is authorized to take necessary legal actions against candidates who register by making false statements.

APPLICATION DOCUMENTS:

• ÖSYM Result Document showing the YGS, LYS or YKS Placement Results and All Score Types submitted by the student during admission to the university,   (for Additional Article-1 applications),
• Student Status Document obtained from the higher education institution where the student is enrolled or through the e-government platform (it can be QR coded, e-signed, or wet signed),
• Approved or QR coded grade sheet/grade transcript/transcript document showing all the courses taken by the student up to the semester they want to transfer to, excluding the preparatory class (Documents in foreign languages must be translated into Turkish.),
• Preparatory class students or students who have frozen their registration must document their status,
• An approved official document showing that the student is in the top ten percent at the end of the relevant academic semester in the second education program,
• Approved or QR coded Course Contents (course curriculum), (Students who do not submit course contents will be adapted to the first year.)
• Document regarding whether the student has received a disciplinary penalty, 
• For applications from Foreign Higher Education Institutions, for programs where success ranking is not required, the central placement score in the score type valid for the diploma program they want to transfer to must be equal to or higher than the lowest base score of equivalent diploma programs in other universities in the country,
• Document stating that there is no obstacle to Horizontal Transfer (This will be brought at the final registration.)
