2019-2020 Spring Semester Midterm (Vize) and Practical Courses Announcement

1. In the 2019-2020 Academic Year Spring Semester, the “midterm exam (vize)” application to be implemented in all academic units providing associate, undergraduate, and graduate education will be carried out through the midterm assignment to be given by the instructor. 

2. In the courses of the Faculty of Education “Teaching Practice II”, “Field Study in Guidance and Psychological Counseling”, Faculty of Sports Sciences “Teaching Practice II” and Faculty of Theology “Teaching Practice”, the “Teaching Practice File” to be prepared by the student will be evaluated as a course assignment. The theoretical courses of the remaining period will be continued in the digital media environment (UZEM infrastructure, Skype, Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.) to be determined jointly by the instructors and students from 09.04.2020 onwards. 

3. For practical courses; 

    a) The practical parts of the Theoretical+Practical courses will be completed in the form of a course application project. This project will be evaluated as the midterm grade. 

    b) In the application/laboratory courses that only include practice; a course application project will be assigned. This project will be evaluated as the midterm grade. 

    c) In academic units that practice in workplaces such as 3+1, 7+1, and 6+2, in the courses of “Workplace Practice”, “On-the-Job Training” and “Professional Practice”, the student will prepare a Workplace Practice Report (the procedure and form of which are determined by the Coordination of our University Vocational Schools). This report will be evaluated as the midterm grade. 

4. In the Faculty of Education, Pedagogical Formation Education Certificate Program, the “Teaching Practice File” to be prepared by the student in the “Teaching Practice course” will be considered as a course assignment. The theoretical hours of this course in the remaining period will be conducted in the digital media environment (UZEM infrastructure, Skype, Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.) to be determined jointly by the instructors and students from 09.04.2020 onwards. 

5. The Pedagogical Formation Education Certificate Program of the Faculty of Education, which could not be started on 14.03.2020 due to the pandemic, will continue synchronously from 09.04.2020 onwards through the Distance Education System method. 

6. The midterm grade evaluation of the course “Veterinary Medicine Internship Program (VEHIP)” of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will be done together with the “final assignment of the final assignment course”. 

7. Students will be exempted from and considered successful in the compulsory or optional summer internships that coincide with the summer term of the 2019-2020 Academic Year. 

8. Students will send the files expressed as “Midterm Assignment”, “Teaching Practice File”, “Course Application Project”, “Workplace Practice Report” and “Final Assignment” for the evaluation of their midterm grades through the assignment module of the Distance Education System or to the university email accounts of our instructors by the date specified in the academic calendar. However, students who do not have internet access for any reason can also send their assignments/files/reports to the academic unit address of the responsible instructor of the course by registered mail or cargo. (In this regard, the instructions of the relevant course instructor will be followed.)

9. The method and schedule of the final and make-up exams will be announced at a later date.
